Texas Pastor Bans Congregation from Wearing Weaves

Hair is such a delicate topic, especially for Black females. Whether you dye it, fry it, or flip it around, your hair, unfortunately, helps to define you in our society. However, Black women have always felt at war with their own hair for many, many years. Either we can’t wear it a certain way at work, as we may intimidate, or we hear that guys don’t like short hair “because they need something they can run their hands through”.

My thoughts are that one should do what feels comfortable for them, what makes them feel good. But I understand what this pastor in Texas is saying, because for some women out here, hair has become more important than brains and this is a problem.
